Mr. Gansler's Consumer Protection Division provides mediation services to consumers to help resolve complaints against businesses and health insurance carriers. In 2011 the Consumer Protection Division received 11,520 complaints from Maryland residents and through its mediation efforts helped those residents obtain $3,440,391.00 in financial relief.
