Mr. Gansler's Consumer Protection Division provides mediation services to consumers to help resolve complaints against businesses and health insurance carriers. In 2012 the Consumer Protection Division received 11,435 complaints from Maryland residents and through its mediation efforts helped those residents obtain $3,727,602.67 in financial relief.
