Protection Division Grants Hearing Regarding Cease and Desist
Order Against Contractor
BALTIMORE, MD (January 22, 2009) - Attorney General Douglas F.
Gansler announced today that a hearing has been scheduled regarding
the Statement of Charges and the Cease and Desist Order issued
by the Consumer Protection Division against Kenneth F. Reed. The
Order requires Reed to pay restitution to consumers and to stop
selling agricultural improvement goods and services in Maryland.
The Division alleged that Mr. Reed collected payments from consumers
to renovate poultry houses and after being paid, never completed
the projects.
The hearing has been scheduled for March 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
and will be held by the Office of Administrative Hearings at the
W. Paul Martin District Court Multi-Service Center, 201 Baptist
Street in Salisbury. The hearing is open to the public.
