Attorney General’s Task Force on Electronic Weapons to
Hold Public Meeting

BALTIMORE, MD (January 14, 2009) - The next meeting of the Attorney General’s Task Force on Electronic Weapons will be held on Thursday, January 15th at 3:00 p.m., 200 St. Paul Place, 17th Floor in Baltimore. Members of the task force will hear from representatives from Taser, a manufacturer of taser guns.

The Task Force was formed last year to review law enforcement’s current policies on electronic weapons and their use of electronic weapons. The Task Force held its first meeting on November 19, 2008. The Task Force will hold several meetings and issue a report to the Attorney General, the Governor, and the General Assembly by the end of the year.
