Baltimore Developer Charged with Water Pollution
Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler today announced that water
pollution charges have been filed against Dream Day Real Estate
Developers, LLC for unlawfully discharging brick cleaning wastewater
into the public storm drain at 2308 McCulloh Street in Baltimore
City.
If convicted of the offense, Dream Day Real Estate could receive
a maximum fine of $25,000. The company’s principal office
address is 4809 The Alameda, Baltimore MD 21239. The filing of
charges is merely an accusation of criminal wrongdoing. All defendants,
whether corporate or individual, are presumed innocent until proven
guilty.
These charges follow a joint investigation conducted by the Environmental
Crimes Unit of the Office of the Attorney General and the Baltimore
City Police Department. Trial date has been set for April 6, 2007
in the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City located on
Wabash Avenue. In making today’s announcement, Attorney General
Gansler thanked Assistant Attorney General Bernard Penner for his
work on the case.
