ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY MAN GUILTY OF DUMPING OIL ON NEIGHBOR’S PROPERTY

Maryland Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr. announced today that Lino G. Razuri, 43, of the 500 block of Queenstown Road, Severn, Maryland was found guilty on November 28, 2006 in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County of disposing of litter in an amount exceeding 500 pounds on property located at 627 Queenstown Road. The finding of guilt resulted from Razuri removing a 275-gallon oil tank containing approximately 100 gallons of waste oil from his property and dumping it on his neighbor’s property on January 21, 2006.

Judge Pamela L. North granted the Defendant a probation before judgment and placed him on probation for one year. Judge North also imposed a fine of $5,000 and suspended all but $1,000.

This Court action follows a joint investigation conducted by the Environmental Crimes Unit of the Office of the Attorney General with the assistance of the Maryland Department of the Environment, Emergency Response Division.
