ARUNDEL COUNTY MAN GUILTY OF DUMPING OIL ON NEIGHBOR’S
PROPERTY
Maryland
Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr. announced today that Lino
G. Razuri, 43, of the 500 block of
Queenstown Road, Severn,
Maryland was found guilty on November 28, 2006 in the Circuit Court
for Anne Arundel County of disposing of litter in an amount exceeding
500 pounds on property located at 627 Queenstown Road. The finding
of guilt resulted from Razuri removing a 275-gallon oil tank containing
approximately 100 gallons of waste oil from his property and dumping
it on his neighbor’s property on January 21, 2006.
Judge Pamela L. North granted the Defendant a probation before
judgment and placed him on probation for one year. Judge North
also imposed a fine of $5,000 and suspended all but $1,000.
This Court action follows a joint investigation conducted by the
Environmental Crimes Unit of the Office of the Attorney General
with the assistance of the Maryland Department of the Environment,
Emergency Response Division.
