CURRAN TO RECEIVE AWARD FOR PROTECTION
OF WOMEN’S RIGHTS

On October 25, 2006 at 7 p.m. Maryland Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr. will be accepting the Women’s Law Center of Maryland’s Access to Justice Award. Attorney General Curran will be recognized for his exemplary accomplishments and his unwavering commitment to justice by the WLC, a nonprofit organization. "Attorney General Curran has devoted his career to protecting the legal rights of Maryland's citizens. The Women's Law Center is pleased to honor his commitment to fairness and equality with the Access to Justice Award," says Women’s Law Center Board President, Bobbie Steyer.

The Women’s Law Center achieves its mission of promoting justice and fairness for women through direct services, education, research, policy analysis, advocacy and judicial selection.
