SEVERN
MAN CHARGED WITH ILLEGAL DUMPING
Maryland
Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr. announced today that Lino
Razuri, 43, of the
500 block of Queenstown Road in
Severn, Maryland has been charged with dumping solid waste
in excess of 500 pounds at 627 Queenstown Road in Severn, Maryland.
The charging document, filed in the District Court of Maryland
for Anne Arundel County, alleges that on or about January 21,
2006 and continuing through on and about January 22, 2006,
Razuri illegally
disposed of solid waste on private property. The charge is a
misdemeanor that carries a possible penalty of up to five years
in prison and/or
a $30,000 fine.
This charge follows an investigation conducted by the Environmental
Crimes Unit of the Office of the Attorney General with the assistance
of the Maryland State Police and the Maryland Department of the
Environment's Emergency Response Division. A trial date has not
been set.
A charging document is merely an allegation; all defendants are
presumed innocent until proven guilty.
