ATTORNEY GENERAL REACHES AGREEMENT WITH MARYLAND GENERAL HOSPITAL

The Medicaid Fraud Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General announced today it has reached an agreement with Maryland General Hospital under the terms of which the Hospital will reimburse Maryland’s Medicaid program $55,029.00, representing Medicaid payments received for unverifiable HIV tests performed by the Hospital’s laoratory. Under State law, only verifiable test results are eligible for medicaid reimbursement.
