Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr. announced today that Three Rivers Sportsmen, Inc., a Maryland corporation, was charged in the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County with violating the State’s sediment control laws. The charge alleges that from March 1, 2003 through April 23, 2003, Three Rivers performed construction at the Three Rivers Sportsmen’s Club at 215 Three Rivers Road in Anne Arundel County without obtaining an approved sediment control plan.

If convicted of the charge, Three Rivers Sportsmen, Inc. could be fined up to $5,000.
The filing of charges is merely an accusation of criminal wrongdoing and anyone charged is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

This charge follows a joint investigation conducted by the Environmental Crimes Unit of the Office of the Attorney General and the Maryland State Police.

A trial date has not yet been set.
