BALTIMORE
COUNTY COUPLE CHARGED WITH OPERATING AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY
WITHOUT A LICENSE
Attorney
General J. Joseph Curran, Jr. announced today that Tillena Chelsea
Wolfe, 29, and Kevin Wilford Bullock, 31, of 8619 Lugano Road in
Baltimore County, were charged in Baltimore County District Court
on July 3 with Operating an Assisted Living Facility Without a License,
from on or about April 1, 2002 until on or about August 1, 2002,
at the Briarwood Apartments in Owings Mills. It is alleged that
the defendants operated the unlicensed facility under the business
name A Touch of Love, Inc.
A trial
date is presently scheduled for September 4, 2003.
The
pending cases will be prosecuted by the Criminal Investigations
Division of the Maryland Attorney Generals Office. While the
charges are merely accusations of wrongdoing and every individual
is presumed innocent unless the State proves the charges beyond
a reasonable doubt, practicing nursing in Maryland without a license
and the other related charges are punishable by a maximum sentence
of one year, a fine of $5,000, or both.
