ATTORNEY GENERAL CURRAN HOLDS YOUTH FORUM
IN BALTIMORE THURSDAY,
MAYOR O'MALLEY TO ATTEND

Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr., announced today that he will be joined by Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley for the next event of his statewide Maryland Youth Forum at Greenspring Middle School, 4701 Greenspring Avenue, Room 117, on Thursday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m.

The goal of the program is to help improve the response to problems faced by young people in Maryland by listening to kids talk about a range of issues, such as juvenile crime, substance abuse, dangers of the Internet, and school bullying. The themes and ideas that evolve from these meetings will be used to formulate a report which will outline the need for new programs and policy initiatives, and be sent to elected officials, as well as school officials and local law enforcement officers.

Attorney General Curran has invited parents, school and local community leaders to participate in the discussion with students from throughout the Baltimore City school system.
