CURRAN HOLDS YOUTH FORUM IN WASHINGTON COUNTY ON WEDNESDAY
Discussion Will Include Recent Acts of Terrorism

Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr., announced today that he will host the next event of his statewide Maryland Youth Forum at the Washington County Technical High School, 50 West Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, on Wednesday, October 17 at 1:00 p.m. The goal of the program is to help improve the response to problems faced by young people in Maryland by listening to kids talk about a range of issues, such as juvenile crime, substance abuse, the Internet, and school bullying. The Attorney General will also listen as students discuss the recent terrorist attacks in New York and at the Pentagon. The themes and ideas that evolve from these meetings will be used to formulate and underscore the need for new policy initiatives.

Attorney General Curran will be joined by parents, school and community leaders at the discussion with students from throughout the Washington County school system.
