CURRAN ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT

Baltimore - Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr., today announced the appointment of the Chief of his Criminal Investigations Division, Carolyn H. Henneman, as State Ethics Liaison for all prosecutors in Maryland by the National District Attorneys Association Board of Directors. As State Ethics Liaison, Henneman is expected to be the point of contact for communications from the NDAA, U.S. Department of Justice and local prosecutors.

"Carolyn is a superb choice for this appointment because of her former position as Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York," Attorney General Curran said. "Therefore she has an excellent grasp of the kinds of ethical issues faced by both federal and state prosecutors."

This position is an outgrowth of a joint effort between the Justice Department and NDAA, to create a working relationship on ethical issues between federal and state prosecutors.

Henneman joined the Office of the Attorney General in 1988.
