ATTORNEY GENERAL CURRAN, FIRST LADY SPEAK TODAY IN SUPPORT OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT
Baltimore - Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr., will join First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, other members of the nation's law enforcement community, and Administration officials and lawmakers, in highlighting the need for re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act. The purpose of the event is to underscore the success of VAWA and the need for Congress to re-authorize its programs and strengthen the law. Attorney General Curran, co-chair of the Family Violence Council, will stress the importance of VAWA to Marylanders.
