- Does the University of Maryland Medical System qualify as a State entity for purposes of proposed legislation giving collective bargaining rights to certain employees of University of Maryland Medical Center?
- Must an incumbent member of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education who seeks a second term go through the School Board Nominating Commission appointments process a second time, and what is the Governor's role, if any, in the reappointment process?
- What actions by the Prince George's County District Council constitute "consideration" for purposes of sec. 15-831(c)(2) of the State Government Article such that an applicant for zoning approval must file the statutorily-required affidavit 30 days prior to such "consideration"? If an applicant files an application inside of 30 days of a scheduled "consideration," can the application move forward even though the affidavit was not filed 30 days prior to consideration?
- May persons who are not licensed podiatrists or physicians use high-powered lasers to treat toenail fungus, or does the practice violate sec. 16-101(f) of the Health Occupations Article?
- Does the use of social coupons, such as Groupon, by licensed Maryland podiatrists violate sec. 16-311(a)(14) of the Health Occupations Article, which allows the State Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners to deny or revoke a license, or impose a monetary penalty, on a podiatrist who "[p]ays or agrees to pay any sum to any person for bringing or referring a patient"?
- Whether one company's excavation and removal of a competitor's underground liquefied petroleum gas storage tank constitutes a violation of secs. 11-601 to 11-606 of the Commercial Law Article or otherwise exposes the excavating company to other civil or criminal liability.
